East End House is a friend and supporter of community initiatives like the East Cambridge Planning Team, and East Cambridge Scholarship Fund. These community groups and their activities are congruent with the mission and vision of East End House. These three community groups focus their efforts and activities on the East Cambridge neighborhood. East Cambridge or also known as Neighborhood One in Cambridge is defined as the area from Fulkerson Street to Broadway to the Charles River to the Cambridge/Somerville line.

East Cambridge Planning Team describes itself as a "neighborhood organization for the betterment of East Cambridge." The East Cambridge Planning Team meets the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at East End House. For more information, please call 617-876-0096 for a tape recording of upcoming meetings and activities, and to leave a message.

East Cambridge Scholarship Fund was originated in 1988 with an endowment by the New England Development Corporation of $250,000. A volunteer Board of Trustees consisting of, and elected by, East Cambridge residents administers and awards scholarships. Every spring residents planning to attend community, nursing, four-year colleges, technical or trade school the following fall are encouraged to apply. Applications are judged anonymously and awards are based on three categories: financial need, academic record and length of East Cambridge residency. For more information, please write to East Cambridge Scholarship Fund President, P.O. Box 26, Cambridge, MA 02141, or call East End House at 617-876-4444.
